JOSEPH BLAKE EVANS
Joseph Blake Evans has been with the firm since 2003. Joseph practices civil litigation with concentrations in commercial and business disputes, medical malpractice, environmental litigation and the administration of estates. He is the proud father of a young son, Jody, and is a native of Northwest Georgia, hailing from the Plainville community of Gordon County.
After graduating as valedictorian of Gordon Central High School, Joseph earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees (Latin and Classical Culture) magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. After college, Joseph returned home and taught Latin, British Literature and Mathematics at Calhoun High School before returning to Athens to study law. Joseph served on the Editorial and Managing Boards of the Georgia Journal of International & Comparative Law while earning his Juris Doctor.
Joseph is a student and fan of southern music, focusing principally on the guitar. He records and performs with the Little Country Giants, which was voted Atlanta's Best Local Traditional Folk Act for 2005 and 2006 by the readers of Creative Loafing Magazine. The LCGs have completed three studio albums, Breaking Hearts and Living Free, Sing Pretty for the People, and Fist of Foam and Fury. WEBSITE?
Joseph has served on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Calhoun and the Calhoun Gordon Arts Guild. Joseph is also a founder and past president of the New Echota Rivers Alliance, a project of the Coosa River Basin Initiative focused on the protection of the rich water resources of northwest Georgia and Gordon County.
